Travel Secrets of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Going through my blog posts to replace broken hotlinks and videos that are no longer available, I came across my serial about "Travel Secrets of the Seven Dwarfs."

They may not have been widely read, but looking back, I realized I really hit on some important topics, so here they are again.

Pick a dwarf and see if that's who you want to be --- or perhaps unknowingly are --- when you're on a cruise.

Grumpy

Happy

Sleepy

Bashful

Sneezy

Dopey

Doc

I didn't previously include travel secrets by Snow White herself.

As any screenwriter will tell you, Disney's Snow White would never be written like that today.

She's too passive and flawless.

After all, she is damned by her wicked stepmother simply for being the fairest in the land, and then saved by the kiss of a Prince.  Talk about Snow White privilege!

Of course, a modern twist could have the Prince played by Harvey Weinstein, creating a not-so-happy ending for anyone, until the Woodsman cut his head off, but I don't see that as a children's movie.

But back on topic, let's find admirable personal traits of Disney's Snow White that could be applicable to travel.

She's sweet and kind to everyone she meets, and that is why her heart isn't delivered back to the wicked Queen.

Treating everyone with respect and kindness will make your vacation --- and your life --- better.

When she finds herself exiled to the woods, she figures out how to make the situation work, settling into a happy life at a cottage in the woods with the Seven Dwarfs rather than whining about how she could have been living in a castle with the elites.

Always make the best of where you're at.

So, even Snow White has a couple of great lessons beyond having terrific DNA.
