All New Royal Caribbean Alps of the Seas

Are you ready to ski in the Mediterranean?

Royal Caribbean has amazed and delighted guests with increasingly remarkable offerings of progressively more innovative ships.

They'll soon take us to a totally unexpected altitude with Alps of the Seas, the first in the new Ski Mountain Class ships.

Rock climbing walls, miniature golf and basketball courts have become almost passé as Royal Caribbean has rolled out larger and larger ships featuring ice skating rinks, bumper cars and sky diving.

Traditional cruise ship atriums were long ago expanded to the Royal Promenade, an alluring European street lined with bodegas, pubs and boutique shops, and then into entire open-air neighborhoods of Central Park and the Boardwalk, where cafes and carousels sprout amid gardens and small forests, but Alps of the Seas takes spacious ships to a whole new level.

We've become accustomed to unexpected onboard activities like surfing, boxing and careening down multi-story water slides.

Alps of the Seas will once again dazzle as the flagship for their all new Ski Mountain Class Ships.

Arriving in late 2019, Alps of the Seas will be followed by Aspen of the Seas and then the Asian-themed Nagano of the Seas in 2020.

While we had the opportunity to ski Alps of the Seas in France's Chantiers de l'Atlantique Shipyard, we also learned about Royal Caribbean's much anticipated forray into extra-terrestial cruising due in 2022 with the co-branded all-electric rocket space ship, Tesla of the Skies.

We'll keep you posted as we receive the latest information.

Better service leads to better trips!
