Cruise to Golf

Golf is one of the most frustrating ways in the world to have fun. Why not add some relaxation to your golf game and see what happens?

Most cruise ships have driving range nets, and a few have virtual golf simulators and mini-golf courses, so you can tune up your game in between great meals, pool relaxation, wonderful shows and other fun, non-golf entertainment. On Hawaiian Island Hopping and many other tropical cruises, golf pros are available to tell you what you're doing wrong, if that's your idea of a good time.

The best part, however, is that you can arrange for tee times at your ports and lose golf balls along some of the most beautiful coastlines in the world.

Actually, these photos are from La Costa Country Club in the world class port city of San Diego. I enjoyed a wonderful round of golf there recently with my sister Darlene, brother-in-law Brooks and good friend Bob. By "a wonderful round," I mean that we enjoyed a fun day under sunny skies in perfect conditions, although if we could all throw out our two or three worst holes and replace them with eagles, then we did pretty well.
