Alaska This Summer!

When I total my "sales by itinerary" each year, I usually find Alaska tops the list. Considering this cruise itinerary is available for less than a third of the year, while people vacation in Mexico, Hawaii, Europe and the Caribbean year round, you know Alaska must be a fantastic summer time destination.

With long days and breathtaking views in every direction, few places on earth can compete with gliding through the Inside Passage.

In port, diverse activities await travelers of all physical capabilities, from wheelchair bound or athletic. The cool days topping out in the 60s or 70s can be welcome relief to hot nights in the city elsewhere.

My youngest kids rank our family Alaska trip aboard Celebrity Mercury as one of the best cruises ever, and my wife, who only grudgingly went, was transformed into an Alaska advocate ready to return to the Great Northwest.

By mid-season last year, Alaska cruises were almost completely sold out, so people waiting for last minute deals often missed the boat. With the weak dollar in Europe and gasoline prices high, many Americans will again be drawn to Alaska cruises, so don't procrastinate. Call me to book today. If an applicable promotion becomes available after booking but prior to final payment that will improve your deal, I am always happy to get that for you.

Although many of us now see balconies as essential, especially for spectacular Alaska, booking an interior room early is definitely another way to go. That way, you lock in an affordable price and have the possibility of upgrades to better rooms on the best cruise ship and itinerary for you. Balconies, mini-suites and suites are terrific, and locking in better ship location also helps ensure your enjoyment onboard, and I'm happy to find the best available value on premium rooms too.

Call me today at 310-546-968 to book your Alaska cruise or some other terrific vacation. Better service leads to better trips.

P.S. If you think you know what you want, that certainly is helpful, but when I say, "Better service leads to better trips," I mean it. First, there may be a ship or itinerary that better suits your situation than the trip you believe you want.

Someone called the other day asking about one Alaska cruise itinerary, and by changing to a similar cruise on a different ship in the same cruise line, I saved him over $1000. Others frequently have received complimentary upgrades or hundreds of dollars off after depositing their trip with me.

I'm surprised when some of these same people phone me a year later to say they booked a trip through some other agency or directly with the cruise line in the interim and only now appreciate the personal service they received from me on a previous trip. You see, while part of my slogan relates to the vacation, part of it refers to the "head trip" of dealing with the hassles. Better service leads to better trips.
