New Year's Eve: December 31, 2006

If you don't set a baseline standard for what you'll accept in life, you'll find it's easy to slip into behaviors and attitudes or a quality of life that's far below what you deserve."

--- Anthony Robbins

When the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve and rang in 2007, hundreds of colorful balloons and streamers dropped from the sky in the magnificent atrium of the Grand Princess. The band played joyful Dixieland jazz as I kissed my beautiful wife.

In other parts of the ship, revelers celebrated to different music but just as joyously. By a swimming pool on the Lido Deck, a Caribbean themed party raged on, and in Skywalkers, a glamorous nightclub perched on the seventeenth deck and accessed by a moving sidewalk, dancers shook their booties to a disco beat.

After the balloons dropped, we left the atrium and went to the Wheelhouse Bar to dance to classic rock before walking safely to our room for a good night's sleep.

Earlier, we enjoyed a delicious meal in one of the formal dining rooms, and then we saw world class entertainment in the show lounge. If your New Year's Eve left something to be desired, why not start planning RIGHT NOW for a fantastic cruise over the holidays?
