Each cruise line has its own approach, and we can stick with the style that most suits us or change it up so that we keep being surprised by the ships themselves.
Over the years, Royal Caribbean has always presented a strong image, appealing to active, adventure seeking people and their families. To that end, they introduced onboard rock climbing, ice skating, surfing and ziplining, building larger and larger ships to house them.
With Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean took it all to a new level, what most of us would call a Floating Wonder of the World, and now they've added her twin sister, Allure of the Seas.
Take nothing away from the excellent Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries between which they alternate weekly, but the stars of the show are definitely the ships themselves. They have rightly demanded premium pricing upon introduction, as evidenced by their ability to fill the capacity week after week.
