Our Med-in-the- Rain-Again Cruise

When our friends Mike and Linda said they would be joining us on our return to the Mediterranean in 2024, we all anticipated a relaxed itinerary of sunny days, tapas at sidewalk cafes, and occasional excursions.

What we experienced turned out to be quite different from our expectations, beginning with our first stop.  Soon after boarding, we learned that the next morning would not be a sea day.

Where would we go?  Normandy, France.

Why would we have this new stop?  Our scheduled port of call for day two at La Coruna in northern Spain had been cancelled due to a tropical storm.

Who can argue with keeping us safe by replacing a port?

Throughout this cruise, we revised expectations, allowing the opportunity for serendipity.

In the final analysis, we enjoyed a lovely reunion cruise with our friends, as summarized in the links below.
