Booking directly with cruise lines to save money?
I recently received a phone call from "Lucy" asking if I could match the prices offered by Carnival. I informed her that I can always match the price offered by a cruise line to passengers who book directly, and that I can frequently beat their prices. She said she assumed that since the prices she saw in my flyers were higher than the promotions she saw on Carnival's past guest flyer, I must not be able to match Carnival's prices.
I realized I need to make certain everyone understands that the prices on my flyers and web site are not necessarily the best deals available, but if you phone me, I will seek out the very best value for you. The prices in my literature and on my web site almost exclusively have been assigned by the cruise lines themselves as the "lowest nationally advertised prices," but if past guest specials, senior citizen rates, complimentary upgrades, "free third and fourth passengers" or other promotions apply to your situation, I'm happy to get those for you.
In fact, I will get those for you even after you have booked, when they are applicable, when I see them any time before final payment. I've done this for many clients, and I'm happy to do so. I don't personally know of anyone who does this as regularly and as conscientiously as me.
It turns out that Lucy had just returned from a cruise she booked directly with Carnival, but she disliked the fact that Carnival hadn't been as helpful or responsive as I had been for the Alaska cruise she booked through me. I felt sad that she had booked directly with Carnival without consulting me, but I'm proud that despite believing my prices would be higher, she had decided to come back to book with me in order to take advantage of my service.
Why sacrifice personal service? Call me today to start planning your next great vacation. Better service leads to better trips!
