Everything Including Luxury Is Included

Regent Seven Seas may never be your first choice based on price. RSSC should, however, be high on your list for value, especially when you normally choose a suite.

Like Sandals in the resort world, Regent includes more quality inclusions than the competition. Those inclusions quickly add up.

Let’s skip to some of the biggies.

Have you ever wanted to book a cruise but found the air fare dwarfed the cost of the cruise? Regent Seven Seas has you covered with FREE roundtrip air, including roundtrip transfers. Oh, and since most of us want to fly in a day early to spend some time in the port where our cruise starts, RSSC includes one night pre-cruise luxury hotel.

You can cut the price down by eschewing the free air and hotel for credits, if you have air miles you want to cash or don't need them for some other reason, but if that reason is wanting to fly Business Class, RSSC can upgrade you for a reasonable charge. To give you an idea of the quality of RSSC arrangements, not using the pre-cruise hotel will result in a credit of $300 per person. This is obviously NOT a youth hostel with bed bugs. Rather than aggravating yourself by stitching together those arrival and departure arrangements, however, why not take the stress free vacation of your dreams?

When you dine out on a cruise, do you enjoy specialty restaurants? I know a growing appeal of Oasis of the Seas and other mainstream ships is the ability to choose great la carte restaurants with additional charges. On Regent, you can dine at any of the alternative venues, and that is all included, including beer, wine, top shelf liquor and soft drinks. Yes, you can buy special wine selections and obscure liquors, but it definitely is not necessary. Oh, and if you want to enjoy your dinner in your suite, you can have course by course dining during restaurant hours. And also in your stateroom, you have a stocked bar, replenished daily, if you want to enjoy a private drink with your loved ones.

While the RSSC ships are smaller than mainstream, they have much greater space per passenger, both in the comfortable rooms and public spaces. The ships are nothing short of gorgeous, and ALL of the rooms are suites. The service is anticipatory, aiming to give you what you want an instant before you think of it yourself.

Your fellow passengers are also a draw. Like you, they are sophisticated but enjoy world travel, intelligent conversation and fun. You can feel free to buy a round for the house, because, after all, the drinks are included. You may not have expected to find that going upscale means the dress code is always country club casual, or that the average age of passengers is younger than on most mainstream ships, taking into account that very few children or elderly are onboard.

Regent Seven Seas attracts active guests by including a wide menu of shore excursions at no additional charge. Yes, you can pay extra to drive a race car in Italy or helicopter to dogsled over a glacier in Alaska, but most excursions are included. Even more significant than the excursions being free, however, is how few people arrive at the port with you. It is far easier for a few hundred people to debark and embark than a few thousand, and it means you don't flood the town with people. Add to that the fact that RSSC ships can visit ports big ships are simply too big to enter, and you have a truly special travel experience every time.

You definitely won’t be nickel and dimed on this trip, and many who enjoy suites, martinis, alternative dining venues and shore excursions, Regent Seven Seas actually costs less.

Only you know if this is for you, but the next time you are flying to a far off land for a once in a lifetime cruise, why not try it? As a warning, most who do never go back, whether they are wealthy entrepreneurs with less time than money, families celebrating a special occasion, a port collector who has been to all of the major ports of the world or a secretary who saves for a year or two to splurge on one amazing vacation.

Better service leads to better trips!
